St Albans Symphony Orchestra Rehearsing, Surely Sounds Great in There
Made up of both professional and amateur players, the St Albans Symphony Orchestra is one of the UK's leading non-professional musical ensembles.
The SASO has held performances every year since its founding in 1932.
The orchestra typically performs works of the traditional symphonic repetoire, the likes of Beethoven, Brahms, Bruckner, Dvorak, Janacek, Mahler, Rachmaninov, Stravinsky, and Tchaikovsky.
The orchestra hosts performances throughout the year. They also rehearse weekly on Wednesdays at Homewood Road United Reform Church, Sandpit Lane in St Albans if you would like to observe them then.
More info can be read on the orchestra's website - http://www.saso.org.uk
